More Barns

The snow melted away last week but snowed again this week. I still haven't had the chance to drive up to Boxley and visit the elk , but I did go down a couple of icy backroads and shot some more barns near my house. Hopefully I can go see the elk this weekend but until then, here's a couple more barn photos.

Barns in the snow.

We got alot of snow and ice in N/W Arkansas again this past weekend. I tried to get up to Boxley Valley and get some shots of the elk in the snow, but, once I got up past Kingston at the top of the hill, it looked like the snow plows just stopped right there and turned around. I did too. I decided to see if I could get out to Clifty and get some pictures of a couple of barns I seen a few weeks ago. The roads were pretty clear so I did get some shots of a few barns and some trees in the fog. It felt good to get out of town and explore a little. Here's a couple of pictures I took from near Clifty. It's supposed to rain this week so all of the snow will probably be gone before I can get out again, I might have to call in sick and go exploring.

Siloam Springs, Arkansas

I haven't had much time lately to get too faraway from town to get many photos so I just walked around locally to see what I could discover. These images were taken in Siloam Springs, Arkansas during the really cold weather that we had recently. It was 12 degrees when I was out walking around town. The 2 frozen fountains were located by the library and the bridge is a little further west towards John Brown University.

Ponca and Boxley Valley

Here is a couple of the shots I got wondering around Boxley Valley and Ponca. The shot of the water was from Ponca, but the Elk was actually taken in Lost Valley. If you've never been to this area you should try and go at least once, it's beautiful. On the main road through Boxley there was a young elk with about 25 wild turkey behind it which I took a picture of, but my lense just didn't have enough reach to do the scene justice, maybe next time.

Rambling.

I went out to the Ponca and Boxley Valley area last week in the arctic weather conditions and took a couple of pictures of some elk and frozen waterfalls, I'll try and upload a couple once I figure out how.
